Wayne Expands Fusion™ Forecourt System, New Models Enable Expanded Forecourt Control
AUSTIN, TEXAS—September 29, 2011—Wayne, a global innovator of fuel dispensers and technologies, has announced the expansion of its Fusion™ Forecourt System to include a variety of solutions to provide an even broader range of forecourt control solutions for fuel retailers. The models include the Fusion 1000, for interfacing to point-of-sale (POS) systems and fuel dispensers, the Fusion 3000, for enhanced operations visibility and control, and the Fusion 6000, for full-site automation.
The Fusion 1000, Fusion 3000 and Fusion 6000 all provide varying degrees of forecourt control from a single platform. The Fusion system can control various station operations, from basic forecourt devices such as POS systems, to more complex fuel-inventory monitoring equipment. These new models give retailers the option to choose different capabilities to fit their specific needs. All three models are built on the solid-state, retail-hardened Fusion hardware platform, which was purposefully designed to withstand the harsh retail petroleum environment.
“We are excited to build on the Fusion legacy of reliable forecourt control with these three new models,” said Wayne Fusion Global Product Manager Tom Chittenden. “The Fusion Forecourt System has been a great product for forecourt operations around the world. And now, with three distinct models, customers can easily determine the right model to best suit their operations.”
The Fusion 1000 provides an easy-to-connect, off-the-shelf solution for fuel retailers who have existing POS systems that they want to connect with the forecourt. The Fusion 1000 also provides expansion capability for future upgrades.
The Fusion 3000 offers site-automation for fuel retailers who do not require integrated electronic payments. It provides a console application, onsite and remote connectivity, along with comprehensive Web reporting features to deliver control and visibility over station operations.
The Fusion 6000 delivers full site-automation plus electronic payment functionality, both indoors and outdoors. It even separates credit card transactions from those going through the POS system, which can reduce both the complexity and cost associated with PCI compliance. Further, it can be combined with other Wayne value-added software applications such as iSense and iX Media.
