Dresser Wayne Showcases New Forecourt Fueling Technologies at IFFE 2008 Show

MALMÖ, Sweden (April 3, 2008) – Dresser Wayne, a global marketer of retail fuel dispensers and technologies, will feature its latest retail petroleum solutions at the International Forecourt and Fuel Equipment Show in Birmingham, England on April 6th through the 9th. At booth H21 in hall 8, attendees will have an opportunity to experience Dresser Wayne’s recent developments in user- friendly fuel dispenser design as well as marketing and management technology. Additionally, Dresser Wayne will showcase its advanced fuel meter engineering, and company representatives will be on hand to discuss Dresser Wayne’s offering of comprehensive vapor recovery solutions.

UK and Ireland Managing Director at Dresser Wayne, Paul De La Port states, “We have been a leader in the industry for more than a hundred years. We are continually drawing upon that experience to address the challenges fuel retailers are facing and enhance their profitability. These challenges are not limited to a few isolated issues. Fast-paced industry change has resulted in opportunities for improvement at every level of petroleum retail - from marketing and inventory control to regulatory compliance.”

Visitors to the Dresser Wayne booth will see the recently-launched Global Ovation® iX fuel dispenser that has been designed around consumer refueling and purchasing behaviors. It features Dresser Wayne’s award-winning iX™ Technology Platform, a new marketing tool that maximizes in-store sales from the forecourt. The iX Technology Platform offers expanded dispenser functionality, including iX Media™, a customizable multimedia in-dispenser promotional tool. As a complementary technology to iX Media, C-Store Media ties in-store promotional efforts to forecourt merchandising. “Reaching consumers in more compelling ways is a key focus for retailers because they rely on in-store sales for the majority of their profits,” explains De La Port. “Leveraging technology has resulted in a major leap forward in fuel equipment marketing capabilities.”

Dresser Wayne will also feature the Global Star, a popular, highly-configurable fuel dispenser that fits easily within a wide variety of forecourt specifications. And the Global Star CNG dispenser offers an insight into the ways in which Dresser Wayne is accommodating the quickly-growing alternative fuels arena. Plus, the Xflo™ meter will be among Dresser Wayne’s featured products at the show. The most accurate fuel meter on the market, the Xflo meter has a precision-engineered design that reduces meter drift and recalibration costs while increasing fuel flow rates. In addition to gaining familiarity with Dresser Wayne’s products, show attendees will be able to learn how Dresser Wayne is helping retailers meet stringent new air quality regulations in the UK before the December 31, 2009 deadline. Recently, two major companies, Wm Morrison Supermarkets plc and J Sainsbury plc, contracted with Dresser Wayne for comprehensive Vapor Recovery Stage II (VRS II) programs. “We have installed tens of thousands of VRS II solutions worldwide,” De La Port says. “We understand the standards and we understand how to help retailers meet the requirements cost- effectively, either through new fuel dispenser implementations or retrofitting legacy equipment.”
